Asia remains China’s main export destination, though its share has eased slightly. Europe’s faster growth has lifted its position, while Latin America and Africa expanded the fastest from relatively small bases.
China’s export geography has evolved over the past decade but remains anchored in Asia. While this region still absorbs nearly half of Chinese exports, its share has edged down as Europe’s demand strengthened and North America’s relative weight declined.
The most dynamic gains came from Latin America, Africa and Oceania, each growing more than 5% per year. The result is a more geographically balanced export profile, still Asia-centric, but with China’s trade ties deepening across a wider set of emerging markets.
