China’s PMI Indicators Point to Uneven Momentum and Rising Cost Pressures in 2026
Global FDI rose to USD 1.62 trillion in 2025, with Asia remaining the largest destination for foreign investment and India attracting record inflows across technology, services and manufacturing.
India continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading destinations for long-term foreign investment, even as global capital flows remain uneven.
Global FDI inflows rose modestly to USD 1.62 trillion in 2025 (+6% yoy), with Asia retaining its position as the largest recipient region at USD 644 billion (+3% yoy). Against this backdrop, India recorded a record USD 95 billion in total FDI inflows during FY2025-2026, reflecting sustained investor confidence in the country’s long-term growth prospects.
Investment inflows remained concentrated in high-value sectors, including computer software & hardware, services and manufacturing-related industries, underscoring India’s ongoing transformation into a more technology-driven, globally competitive economy.
